Contract Project Controls Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA, or Remote (Local candidates preferred, but remote is acceptable)
Length of Assignment: 12 Months

Summary:
Our client is looking for a highly capable and motivated Project Controls Engineer with expertise in planning, scheduling, cost control, and change management. The ideal candidate should possess strong project and change management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, support monthly reporting and accruals, and drive the project change management process effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree preferred.
• Experience in Oracle Primavera P6 and EPPM applications.
• Knowledge of MS Power BI Service, Oracle BI, or other data analytics platforms.
• Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA is a bonus.
• Experience using Microsoft Project Online is a bonus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creative thinker.
• Strong communication skills, highly motivated with a positive attitude.
• High degree of trust, integrity, open communication, and respect, with a desire to foster teamwork.
• Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the project change log and drive the PCN process, facilitating both cost and scheduling efforts. Review project PCNs for quality.
• Keep stakeholders informed of PCN status and outstanding issues.
• Support monthly reporting process to DOE.
• Identify and communicate variances from the budget.
• Evaluate project progress and performance, identifying developing problem areas.
• Process project change notices.
• Support monthly accruals.
• Assist with the facilitation of project review meetings and project planning support as assigned.
• Actively interact with project team members to drive continual improvement of schedule project controls metrics and other performance indicators.

Estimated Compensation range varies depending on experience and within the range of $50.00 - $100.00/ per hour
