A role you will love

As the Senior Technical Analyst, you will be part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team which creates customer-oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare and Technology strategy and values. In this role, you'll perform business analysis and administrative tasks to assist with the enhancement and maintenance of applications managed by the Enterprise Systems team.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of clear requirements which will form a well-balanced Product Backlog
  • Partnering with the product manager and project team to define business requirements to meet the project objectives and ensuring requirements are within our business standards and guidelines and align to our business strategy and objectives
  • Communicating, collaborating and negotiating with key stakeholders (value stream leaders, business groups and control groups)
  • Managing and prioritizing the scrum's backlog and work with the team to plan stories for upcoming sprints
  • Effectively managing risks associated with projects and scrum team, including: compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; and adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls
  • Looking at industry trends and customer feedback to brainstorm on features
  • Obtaining appropriate buy-in on difficult decisions and solve complex issues, especially when there isn't agreement amongst stakeholders, knowing how to negotiate and when to escalate to your leaders
  • Working with operations and technical teams to research and resolve production issues and clarifying ambiguities and customer experience based on business requirements and product objectives

What will you bring to the role?

You are pragmatic and logical, with a solution-oriented mind set, and can clearly communicate your requirements and ideas. You are approachable and team oriented with a high attention to detail. You can manage positive and effective negotiations with stakeholders paired with a strong ability to understand and retain detailed knowledge within complex domains.

You'll also bring:

  • 5+ years of IT industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of Business Analyst or Technical Analyst experience
  • 3+ years of experience in writing Functional Specification Documents
  • 1+ year of experience in UX design
  • Experience in Solution Design
  • Experience in SQL Queries
  • Proven ability to contribute to design decisions
  • Experience with mentoring less experienced analysts, preferably in an Agile environment

Compensation. The base salary range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. This range reflects our good faith to pay fairly based on our job evaluation of this role and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and other job-related factors.

Minnesota: $84,000 - $126,000 per year USD.

North Carolina: $79,800 - $119,700 per year USD.

Maryland: $88,200 - $132,300 per year USD.
