Day to day as a Quality Assurance Specialist

The Quality Assurance Specialist at VillageCare plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and compliance within the Grievance & Appeals processes. The Specialist will undertake various responsibilities such as auditing, maintaining, and updating training materials, job aides, and standard operating procedures. By conducting detailed audits, analyzing data, and evaluating regulatory compliance, the Specialist will identify gaps and develop robust processes to enhance efficiency and quality. Through effective communication and documentation, the Specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements and ensure adherence to CMS and DOH regulations.

This position requires a keen problem solver with a strong business acumen, dedicated to delivering top-notch customer service and maintaining confidentiality while driving continuous improvement in the healthcare industry.

The successful candidate for the Quality Assurance Specialist role at VillageCare must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in managed healthcare and have at least 5 years of practical experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, data analysis, regulatory governance for CMS/DOH requirements, and should be a subject matter expert in Appeals & Grievances.
