Security Operations Specialist: I (Junior)

Description

We are in the process of recruiting a Security Operations Specialist: I in Columbus, Ohio. This role is within the security industry, providing an opportunity to monitor complex alarm and surveillance systems. The position is a short term contract role, with the potential for further opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

Monitoring and operating complex alarm and surveillance systems, coordinating suitable responses to alerts

Answering incoming calls related to suspicious activity or security events, ensuring swift and appropriate action

Creating comprehensive reports and maintaining detailed logs of all calls and activities

Liaising with both security and non-security colleagues to coordinate responses or assistance in resolving issues

Utilizing strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients

Leveraging skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to optimize task efficiency

Drawing on previous experience in a call center or similar environment to effectively handle high-intensity situations

Applying knowledge of security operations and surveillance systems to maintain a secure environment

Resolving issues promptly and effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities

Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring all responsibilities are met in a timely manner.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Experience in answering inbound calls in a call center environment
Familiarity with security protocols and monitoring tools
Ability to maintain logs and records in a systematic manner
Problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently
Excellent written communication skills
Experience in identifying and reporting suspicious activities
Ability to create detailed reports based on observations and data
Knowledge of security operations and surveillance systems
Experience working in a security operation center is preferred
