Additionally, the responsible engineer may lead a small team, mentor early-career engineers, perform technical reviews, while providing support and resources as needed.

Qualifications (required):
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or environmental engineering or related engineering field.
  • 6+ years of technical experience in the design and analysis of space systems, preferably EVA, spacecraft, or landers, and experience in leading a cross-functional team and/or project.
  • Experience across the product life cycle.
  • Familiar with NASA, DOD, or other industry safety, reliability, and quality processes.

  • Experience with research and development of one or more technologies relevant to Lunar extreme environments
  • Experience with ECLS pressure control, vacuum systems, water systems and selecting components for these systems
  • Experience with spacecraft crew systems or Extravehicular (EVA) technologies and architectures.
  • Working knowledge of International Space Station (ISS) hardware, airlock/EMU systems, and operations.
  • Working knowledge of other Artemis program elements (Orion, Gateway, HLS, etc.)
  • Experience in the development of spacesuit systems, other critical space hardware, or procedures and flight rules for spacesuit system operations.
