The Vice President of Finance is a key executive role responsible for the overall financial strategy, planning, and management of the company. Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities. Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing analysis and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure adequate internal controls are in place to safeguard the company's assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
  • Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure the availability of funds as needed. Optimize the company's capital structure and working capital to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Investment Management: Evaluate investment opportunities and make recommendations to the executive team. Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions.
  • Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax obligations and regulations. Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. Promote collaboration and communication within the finance department and across the organization.
  • Strategic Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing financial insights and guidance on key business decisions. Participate in board meetings and present financial reports to the board of directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful financial strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
