Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Python Developer with strong technical expertise and a basic understanding of financial trading mechanics, especially related to Equities products.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the trading, data, and analytics teams to develop and maintain systems that support trading operations, including handling data flows for positions and P&L.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Python-based applications and scripts to support various financial data processing tasks.

Build and optimize SQL queries and manage databases for trading-related data (positions, P&L).

Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines for efficient data movement and transformation.

Develop and integrate APIs to ensure smooth data exchange between internal systems and external platforms.

Work with the trading team to understand basic trading mechanics for Equities products and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Monitor and ensure the quality, integrity, and security of data flows related to positions and P&L.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Trading, IT) to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Python programming and best practices.

Strong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases.

Experience with ETL processes and tools.

Familiarity with API development and integration (RESTful services).

Business Skills:

Basic understanding of trading mechanics for Equities products.

Knowledge of positions and P&L data flows, and how they impact trading and portfolio management.

Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.

3-15 years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in the finance or trading industry.

Experience 10+ Years of professional experience as a Python Developer or in a similar role,

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a trading or investment environment.

Familiarity with financial data structures and data flows.
