Position Overview:

As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the flow of products from suppliers to stores, ensuring timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels across the supply chain, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely delivery of goods to distribution centers and stores.
  • Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising and sales, to forecast demand and plan for future inventory needs.
  • Order Processing: Oversee the order placement process, ensuring accuracy in quantities, delivery schedules, and costs. Troubleshoot any issues that arise with orders.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure the efficient transportation of goods, optimizing delivery routes, and reducing transportation costs.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, lead times, and inventory turnover.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Implement best practices for inventory control and supplier management.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all supply chain activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, including food safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or inventory management, preferably within the retail or supermarket sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot supply chain issues and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with global supply chains and sourcing.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, including food safety and compliance standards.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.
