Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to work for our Cleveland client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and assist the Controller in the month-end financial closing and reporting process by ensuring financial results are reported timely and accurately.
  • Produces ad-hoc in-depth analyses as needed for review by management using enhanced data-driven insights that will influence overall business decision-making.
  • Provides advanced financial analysis including economic modeling, cash flow analysis, and concise financial reporting for large cross-functional innovation projects.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of external financial statements under US GAAP
  • Lead the audit process, including acting as the key point of contact with auditors, to ensure a successful and timely audit outcome
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement process improvements to accelerate close timelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong focus on improving processes and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management and employees
