We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking a Coord. Public Relations to join our Public Relations Team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.
Job Summary
This position will support the AMC Networks publicity team, with a primary focus on ALLBLK/We TV, in all aspects of daily duties including maintaining and updating publicity resources, databases, and internal press materials, helping on-site at press events, assisting with event logistics and servicing materials to various partners. This is a position that will demand strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
The ideal candidate has a love and passion for public relations and keeps in touch with today’s television and entertainment world. S/he is eager to roll up his/her sleeves to get into the details and can make quick and wise decisions based on creative and business judgment even when faced with ambiguity. The culture of the group is team oriented, dynamic, active, and responsive. We’re looking for someone with a collaborative spirit, results- driven mindset, positive outlook, proactive personality, and willingness to learn.

Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with the ALLBLK/We TV senior PR staff and collaborate with the wider AMCN publicity team and related departments.
- Update media lists for the PR department.
- Assist in organization and execution of national PR campaigns and overall launch strategy for We TV, ALLBLK and other network programming.
- Conduct research and build media lists to support national and regional PR planning and strategy.
- Edit content such as press releases and tune-ins.
- Assist in maintaining talent schedules.
- Develop and foster relationships with consumer, electronic and digital media, including influential blogs and websites.
- Organize and/or assist with network press events, including press briefings, media tours, presentations for the twice-yearly Television Critics Association tour and screenings.
- Manage daily press clippings and internal tune-ins.
- Undertake general administrative and clerical duties in PR Group.
- Responsible for handling all talent travel including flights, cars, grooming and tracking to budget.
- Assist in the selection of clips, stills and additional publicity materials.
- Receiving, tracking and processing invoices.
- Other duties as assigned by the Network PR executives, as needed.
- College degree.
- Flexible, personable, self-starter.
- Excellent knowledge with proven experience of Microsoft applications: Power Point, Word and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals.
- Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Must be flexible to occasionally work overtime.
- Demonstrate ability to prioritize, self-start, contribute under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly organized, creative and critical thinker.
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience working with entertainment & media is a bonus.
