Job Summary

The Data Intern is responsible for working with project teams to support, develop, and utilize data sets to drive business decisions. Professional growth will come through analysis of healthcare cost and utilization data, insights into data trends and anomalies, completing calculations, and implementing software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Wakely products, tools, and services.
  • Analyze data trends to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Apply data analysis and visualization methods to guide key business decisions.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to increase efficiency and improve processes.
  • Understand and adhere to client-specific service standards to meet project goals.
  • Manage and complete assigned, ensuring adherence to project timeline and objectives.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum of working towards a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field required. Must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.

Experience

This is an entry level position and has no formal experience requirement. Experience with Microsoft Office and computer programming knowledge (SQL, Python, SAS) is preferred.

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.
