Job Description
As a Medical Lab Scientist I, you will play a crucial role in determining the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. You will perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. You will monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality, and demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving. Additionally, you will prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls, report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care, perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary, and assist with processing specimens when needed. Maintaining a safe work environment and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment are also essential responsibilities.
Qualifications
This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weekly.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana.

You will perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience
- Proficient with computers
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (a plus)
- Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
