VMP Healthcare and Community Living is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing/Staff Education to join our team!

You will responsible for managing and developing nursing staff, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and driving clinical excellence. This role also includes providing leadership in staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts, while fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing.
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN in this state.


Job Responsibility Overview:

  • Build, maintain, and update comprehensive care plans for all residents to ensure their needs are met with a person-centered approach.
  • Assist in reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and hiring qualified nursing staff to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Perform regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Conduct regular rounds on the units to assess resident care, staff performance, and address any concerns.
  • Occasionally work non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends, to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Assist in managing nursing staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, and fostering a supportive, collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, providing support, follow-up, and mentorship to increase retention and job satisfaction.
  • Complete regular employee performance evaluations, providing feedback and support for professional development
