Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of Assembly Technicians by coaching, mentoring, and guiding daily scheduling demands.
  • Work with area Supervisor to organize and manage tooling and supplies.
  • Fit up and assembly of parts and components, using fixtures, jigs, templates, and measuring instruments
  • Follow Engineering Assembly guidelines; provide technical feedback for Engineering Change Request (ECR)
  • Drills, taps, reams, countersinks, holes in subassemblies, and bolts, rivets, or otherwise fastens detail parts into structural assembly, using hand tools and power tools
  • Install a wide variety of fasteners into multiple material types (aluminum, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, hastelloy, etc)
  • Inspect, measure, verify and approve assemblies and paperwork according to blue prints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, and customer requirements.
  • Mix and use various adhesives per Engineered routing / customer specification(s)
  • Performs 100% visual inspection of assemblies
  • Identify defects in hardware, details and assemblies
  • Periodically assist in other production areas at the discretion of the Production Supervisor or Operations Management team

Basic Qualification

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience of 6 years
  • Ability to read/interpret Engineering drawings
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Manufacturing experience of 10 years
  • Experience developing assembly tooling
  • Aerospace Assembly experience of 4 years
