As a paralegal, you will assist attorneys and legal teams with legal research, drafting legal documents, maintaining case files, and providing administrative support. Duties
- 2-3 days a week remote
- Proficient and competent in managing caseload from intake to disposition in several jurisdictions
- Organize, maintain, monitor attorneys' hearing and trial calendars
- Schedule client’s treatment programs
- Draft, prepare, file documents in several jurisdictions
- Manage case files using our electronic case management system
- Prepare and organize physical case files, discovery and trial binders
- Download, organize, review and index investigation materials
- Communicate with court staff, prosecutors and clients
- Meet with clients for discovery review
- Assist attorney(s) in preparing for trials
- Receptionist duties
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
- 4+ years of experience.
- Paralegal certificate is required.
- Have experience working in employment law is required
- Previous law firm experience and/or in-house paralegal experience
- Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline
- Conscientious, thoughtful, and proactive approach to tasks and workload management, including the ability to establish priorities, work independently, and take initiative when appropriate
- Proficiency with collection, production, and management of e-discovery, including substantial experience with litigation support databases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interface with all levels within the firm and externally with clients and other professional advisors, as needed
- Litigation experience is a plus.
