Mobile Application Software Engineer

ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be an integral part of a team responsible for delivering a powerful, scalable next-generation vehicle platform for future Toyota and Lexus vehicles. This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet s flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud. This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota s next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle. This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced, prototyping environment.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for passionate mobile app development using the Flutter framework. As a member of the Arene Advanced Development team, you will work on developing high-quality mobile applications. You will be responsible for developing cross-platform mobile apps for the iOS and Android ecosystem, ensuring performance, usability, and code quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Develop and implement mobile applications using the Flutter framework.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Optimize app performance and ensure compatibility across various devices.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain app stability.
• Stay updated on Flutter and mobile development trends.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Makes technical trade-offs between short term team needs and long-term business goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS, or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field with 3+ years of relevant experience in the following areas
• This is a mid engineer role.
• Proven experience as a Flutter Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of mobile applications developed using Flutter.
• Proficiency in Dart programming language and Flutter framework.
• Understanding of mobile app design principles and UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with authentication and authorization/RBAC enabled services.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and REST based API development.
