REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six years of experience in administration of operating/software systems (e.g., WebLogic, Windows Server, SharePoint, Linux, Unix, Apache etc.).
  • Bachelor s Degree, Technical Certification or Graduate of Technical/Trade School
  • DOI Background Investigation, Public Trust ship

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of ESRI GIS applications
  • Knowledge of MFA technologies
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security protocols
  • Ability to create scripts in Pearl, Python, PowerShell and similar languages to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency
  • Strong experience with Windows Server OS (2012, 2016, 2019)
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide maintenance and sustainment support for applications and associated middleware
  • Provide application maintenance support along with the legacy system integration including the resolution of complex system issues, application software/services, tools, capabilities, interfaces, data transfers, databases, and related functionality.
  • Proactively monitor system, application, and database logs to ensure there are no indications of failure or warnings.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions and group policies within Active Directory
  • Ensure the highest availability, security, and performance levels are maintained.
  • Recommend opportunities that may improve the efficiencies.
  • Provide documentation or updates to the existing documentation such as user help files, user guides, and SOPs
  • Maintains data files and control procedures for a network application linked to a host server.
  • Responsible for system security and data integrity.
  • Assigns passwords and monitors use of resources. Knowledgeable to run applications on department-wide or enterprise computer systems.
  • Installs new software, system upgrades, and patches to resolve software problems.
  • Perform backups and recovery. Can lead and administer approved changes to systems within approved change control process.
  • Apply patches, updates and perform system hardening according to industry best practices and compliance requirements
  • Support and manage virtual environments (i.e. Hyper-V, VMware) and cloud-based services

  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
