  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

  2. Click. then Settings.
  3. Click Privacy and Security.
  4. Click Site settings.
  5. Click JavaScript.

Our client, a top 11 American bank holding company headquartered in Buffalo, NY w/ footprints throughout the U.S., is currently seeking a Mainframe/Cobol Designer/Programmer) to join their team on a 12+ month contract basis. This is part of modernization for mainframe - 40 yr. old TSO mainframe moving into GitLab space.

Job #: 1680 & 1701

Job Title: Mainframe/Cobol Designer/Programmer

Location: Remote (EST or CST open to working EST only)

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

W2 Only - these roles are not C2C or 1099 eligible

NOTES FROM MANAGER / REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Senior level hands-on lead MF/Cobol designer/programmer to support a Loan Servicing Platform (Shaw Vendor) looking for deep technical skills someone that can get into the nitty gritty of problems, & help the team to resolve, & also help team w/ modernization. This person really needs to be day to day hands on, & wants to be involved in build out & supporting (not interested in candidates that are more architect level).
  • Shaw exp. highly desired, but he will also accept candidates that have good exp. with modern IBM z development platform including: zDIH, z/OS Connect, GitLab, Xpeditor, Abend-Aid (required).
  • Someone that knows CICS & the services that wrap around it, & how to manage those services.
  • Must have proven ability to technically lead complex design and build within the traditional IBM Mainframe environment Seeking someone w/ traditional Mainframe w/ a passion to work with/get into modern tools.
  • Should have demonstrated experience in Agile environments, work seamlessly with remote teams, and have proficient writing skills.
  • Exp. w/ large institutional exp. processing loans/lines of credit ideal (large mainframe/TSO).
