Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Per Diem)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team on a per diem basis. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe patient care in a critical care setting, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care within the ICU, monitoring patients' conditions and responding quickly to changes.
• Communicate effectively with physicians about changes in patient conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
• Provide patient and family education, guiding other nursing personnel in maintaining standards of care.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in California.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, specifically in critical care.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
