As a maintenance planner, you will:

  • Coach and train computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) users. Oversee the scheduling activities of all CMMS users ensuring that work is scheduled appropriately.



  • Conduct in-depth analysis and reporting to identify and recommend cost savings and performance improvement opportunities in support of world class manufacturing initiatives.



  • Ensure a balanced load demand by properly allocating resources.



  • Ensure that department metrics are being met. Identify and lead improvement initiatives to address deficiencies.



  • Set goals for work group, developing organizational capability and modeling how we work together.



  • Oversee all storeroom activity, including purchasing and receiving orders, vendor relationship management, cycle counting and all other inventory control associated activities.



  • Provide partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams.



  • Be responsible for master planning of maintenance work using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Assist supervisors with finite scheduling as needed.



  • Serve as the system administrator for the CMMS. Act as the key leader for implementation and use of the CMMS plant-wide. Be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the CMMS system.


We'd love to hear from people with:

  • Data collection, analysis and technical report writing (5 years)



  • Large-scale manufacturing or warehouse environment (5 years)



  • Training, developing and supervising others (5 years)



  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access



  • Complete understanding of (TPM) total productive maintenance principles



  • Ability to read, write and understand policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards



  • Ability to accurately gather, input and report on inventory and system data through manual or automated systems



  • Knowledge using MRP (materials requirements planning) and ERP (enterprise resource planning) packages



  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects



  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects of machinery

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
