  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.

  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Assistant to join the YHM audience development team. In this role, you will help raise the brand’s visibility and build a strong, engaged online community across our social media platforms. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about content creation, eager to learn about social media trends, and motivated to contribute to increasing engagement and audience growth.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for someone looking to build their portfolio, develop valuable industry skills, and contribute to a mission-driven publication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in producing and curating engaging content for YHM's social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.).
  • Engage with our followers, respond to comments, and foster a vibrant online community.
  • Monitor social media trends and platform updates, recommending strategies to enhance engagement and reach.
  • Help track and report on social media metrics, offering insights to optimize performance.

Qualifications:

  • Foundational experience in social media management (internships, volunteer roles, or freelance experience preferred).
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to capture YHM's voice and tone in posts.
  • Eye for detail, with experience in creating engaging content and familiarity with Canva preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating with followers and possibly appearing in social media videos or live streams.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
  • Enthusiasm for digital media, women’s empowerment, and lifestyle content.
