The role is responsible for the supplier development aspect of the project initiative timelines, managing initiative budgets, scheduling, and leading meetings, forecasting initiatives, supervising timelines, handling status trackers, and presenting to Senior Leadership.The position requires an interest in bill of materials development, pricing, manufacturing processes, and risk mitigation. The team drives centralized onboarding for all new suppliers assigned Owner Furnished scope for RE&D.

Successful SCD-PMs thrive in a rapidly changing environment and constantly drive excellence across their own responsibilities as well as that of team members and partners. They frequently leverage strategic internal relationships to effectively collaborate with design, development and other Apple teams. You can make inquisitive decisions with the information available, think and stay focused under pressure, and communicate concisely and effectively with senior management as well as peers. SCD-PMOs scale new and existing manufacturing partners as well as driving creative and strategic commercial deals to achieve goals around cost, supply, and quality.- Manage the project initiative work to timely completion of each programmatic gate.- Track project initiative status and report progress to cross functional partners and prototyping date requirements and work with vendors to fabricate, deliver, and install on schedule.- Manage proposals and change orders for supplier counter-sourcing project initiatives.- Facilitate and lead project initiative meetings for the Supply Chain Development team with internal and external stakeholders including the vendor supplier manufacturing partners.- Develop new methodologies and processes to improve team productivity in key project management tasks.- Partner with Supply Chain Development Managers to collaborate across the Apple organization to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect RE&D roadmaps.- Partner with Sourcing Program Managers and Global Architecture & Design to evolve management processes that streamline initiative implementation from Innovation and Visual Merchandizing into Retail Store project piloting and handoffs.

Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 and $227,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
