As the Instructional Material Specialist working for Hepburn and Sons LLC, you will manage the development of curriculum for the Navy Reserve Force utilizing Navy Education Training Command processes. You will be expected to be proficient in all areas of curriculum development from planning, analyzing, designing, development, implementation, evaluation, and content maintenance. You should be familiar with the Naval Education and Training Manuals as well as NETCs authoritative databases for the development and storage of training content.

This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer .

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops basic level interactive courseware for customer training
  • Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans
  • Converts basic level written materials and/or training requirements to interactive courseware
  • Develops flow diagrams and story- boards. Designs instructionally sound basic level lessons in a variety of delivery media
  • Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content
  • Develops basic level manuals, workbooks, and audio/video tapes and discs

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field is preferred
  • 3 years of experience as an Instructional Material Specialist
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Familiarity with the following systems/databases: Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) Content Planning Module /Learning Object Module(CPM/LOM), Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Office MAC 2016 (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint), Catalog of Navy Training Courses (CANTRAC), provide data entry services entering approved course information into and any other identified electronic systems as required by CNRFC and higher authority
  • Knowledgeable of the NETC programs, policies and procedures, to include instructional systems design and a good familiar with the Navy Enlisted Rating Classifications, advancement opportunities, professional development and training requirements
