Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

Location: Richfield, MN

Skills: Okta, Entra, and CyberArk

Experience: 10+ yrs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in information technology or related field.
  • 3-5 years of identity and access management experience with a track record of delivering secure, scalable solutions.
  • Experience with SSO technologies (e.g., Okta, Entra, SecureAuth, Azure AD).
  • Proficiency in Identity Provisioning Tools (e.g., Saviynt, SailPoint, Okta, Oracle, RSA, One Identity).
  • Experience with PAM tools (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Thycotic, Saviynt CPAM) and multiple MFA methods.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support with a weekly call rotation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in developing architectural designs, training diverse audiences, and onboarding new applications for SSO and Identity Provisioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage Blue Cross MN s identity services and platforms.
  • Utilize scripting or software development skills.
  • Act as an internal consultant and architect for IT Engineering and Operations Management.
  • Design, implement, and evaluate initiatives for efficiency and performance.
  • Resolve complex systems problems and develop engineering standards.
  • Create and modify standard operating procedures, including specifications, control documents, and validation plans.
  • Assist in evaluating, designing, and implementing enterprise programs and projects.
  • Provide recommendations on future technology direction and perform peer reviews on change implementations.
  • Deploy and document changes per problem and change management processes.
  • Lead problem management and root cause analysis discussions.
  • Identify solutions to potential issues and simplify processes.
  • Serve as an escalation point for high severity issues and troubleshoot complex incidents.
  • Improve productivity, systems performance, and operational costs; assist in vendor management.
  • Manage enterprise identity directories and lead integration efforts.
  • Participate in disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Work with support teams to extend identity solutions (Active Directory, SAML, RADIUS).
  • Provide 24x7 support as needed; participate in weekly on-call rotation.
