URGENT REQUIREMENT

Lead Data Scientist / Senior AI, ML Lead

Location: Long Island, NY

Duration: 6+ months

Hybrid position (Locals Preferred)

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Master s or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and building predictive models.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar languages.
• Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data science projects: Drive the end-to-end development of machine learning models, from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define and solve business problems with data-driven solutions.
• Analyze and interpret data: Perform in-depth exploratory data analysis to uncover insights, trends, and patterns to inform business decisions.
• Build and optimize models: Develop predictive and prescriptive models using a variety of algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, recommendation systems) to improve business outcomes.
• Mentor and guide: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts, guiding them in best practices for analysis, model building, and technical skill development.
• Communicate findings: Present analytical results, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear, actionable manner.
• Stay updated: Keep up with the latest developments in data science, machine learning techniques, and tools, and apply them to improve model performance and scalability.
• Drive experimentation: Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to optimize business processes, product features, or marketing efforts.
• Ensure data quality: Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data pipelines are robust, reliable, and scalable, and ensure data quality is maintained throughout the data lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in leading data science teams or projects.
• Experience in deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Knowledge of big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
• Familiarity with deep learning, NLP, or time series analysis.
• Experience in working within Agile
