We are currently hiring a Data Center Technology Engineer in our Program Management Services division at our client's Binghamton/Vestal office.

Requirements

  • Installation of server racks, PDUs, servers, switches, storage, appliances, etc. including racking, stacking, labeling, cabling, initial config, and documentation
  • Perform regular site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including opening trouble tickets and supervising service and maintenance
  • Maintain spare parts, cables, and equipment inventories
  • Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks and requests assigned to meet Service Level Agreements
  • Work with internal clients, suppliers/contractors, project teams and other technical staff to identify, design and support technical solutions
  • Maintain organized and clean inventory, storage, and datacenter spaces
  • Ensure Data Center Information Management (DCIM) tools are updated with all changes and new deployments
  • Supervise on-site vendor support and contractors doing work in datacenter spaces
  • Provide maintenance and break-fix of infrastructure technologies following the change management process
  • Coordinate maintenance and break-fix of facility items with General Services
  • Participates in the technical implementation plans in support of infrastructure technologies
  • Support physical infrastructure, including all existing physical and virtual platforms, installation of additional systems, hardware/BIOS-level patching, maintenance, upgrades, and support
  • Participates in the evaluation, selection, and testing of hardware and software products
  • Maintain regulatory compliance under NERC/CIP guidelines
  • Perform all work in accordance with established processes and procedures and ensuring all safety best practices and PPE are utilized
  • Perform special assignments from OSG Infrastructure Manager
  • Primarily proves first shift weekday on-site support
  • Available 24x7 for on-call support of production/production-impacting system and storm support
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds


Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. Work week - 5 days in office.
