Role: Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Summary:
The main function is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations.
Job Responsibilities:
Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers.
Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.
Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation.
Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed.
Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared.
Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles.
Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Gather requirements from business units
Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs.
Provides consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve business results.
Analysis, definition and documentation of business and data requirements
Technical Skills:
5-8 years of experience working as a Business Analyst or a Data Analyst, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or modeling for Asset Liability Management, Treasury Management, Credit Risk Management or SCCL/Basel III Regulations
Relevant work experience in interpreting Fed instructions for specific regulatory reports and converting them to technical requirements for building the regulatory reports.
Good understanding of the Capital regulations for U.S Banks
Intermediate to advanced level SQL skills for data analysis in Oracle and Teradata databases
Proficiency in Excel, with exposure to BI tools such as Tableau / Microsoft Power BI / Oracle BI
Extensive experience in the analysis, definition and documentation of business and data requirements.
Experience in FRY 9c, FRY 14M/Q, FR2590, Basel III and the corresponding regulatory submissions would be highly relevant. Detailed knowledge of the reports and report layouts pertaining to specific schedules within any of these regulatory reports in required. Soft Skills:
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
