Job Overview:

We are one of the fastest-growing companies in our industry. We've been in business for 20 years but still move like a start-up. This position requires someone who can work in a fast-paced start-up environment with little direction. We are looking for a highly strategic and relational Vice President of Sales Operations to lead and manage our comprehensive door-to-door sales program. This key leadership role will oversee the operational functions supporting the program, including enablement, housing, payroll, program management, and data analytics. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line to the Chief Revenue Officer, the VP of Sales Operations will lead a high-performing team, including the Director of Sales Operations and Director of Sales Enablement, ensuring alignment with overall company goals. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and skilled at building trust-based relationships with sales leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Program Ownership: Lead and manage all operational aspects of the door-to-door sales program, including support, housing, payroll, and program management.

Strategic Leadership: Design and execute strategic initiatives that optimize and scale the sales operations to support growth.

Sales Enablement: Work closely with the Director of Sales Enablement to deliver tools, training, and resources that maximize sales team productivity and efficiency.

Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage data analytics to assess performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across the sales organization.

Project & Program Management: Ensure the successful execution of all sales-related projects, aligning resources, managing timelines, and tracking key metrics.

Collaboration Across Functions: Partner with sales leaders, marketing, finance, and operations to align strategies and improve processes that drive overall company success.

Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the Director of Sales Operations and Director of Sales Enablement, promoting a culture of high performance and accountability.

Housing Management: Oversee housing logistics including housing all sales reps each year in a 90 day period. Work with local sales managers to have them drive decision making on units in tandem with the housing team

Payroll Management: multiple different pay structures across 5-6 different sales orgs. Working with data team to ensure payroll is automated as much as it can be. Work with sales leadership to understand who reports to whom and compensation structures. Create operational processes to update sales expenses monthly

Relationship Building: Foster authentic, trust-based relationships with sales leaders and teams, driving collaboration and a shared commitment to success.

Proactive Solutions: Anticipate challenges and opportunities within the sales program and implement proactive strategies to optimize performance and efficiency.

Own the Sales Ops Culture: Create a culture that is positive supporting our sales teams and never speaking negatively about them. One that is service-oriented and prides itself in the highest level of service and competence

Own leadership development within sales ops: perform performance reviews and ensure each team member has first creations and stewardship plans, with clear walk-the-yard cadences to ensure that your yard is green and clean.

Be in the data: develop strategic recommendations to increase door-to-door sales and rep retention.

Own the sales program end-to-end in conjunction with the D2D Marketing team to ensure a first-class rep experience.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in a senior sales operations role, ideally managing large-scale, direct sales programs.

Proven leadership experience, with a history of managing cross-functional teams and driving successful outcomes.

Strong strategic thinking, with a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving.

Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders, especially sales leaders.

Expertise in data analysis and performance management, with the ability to leverage insights to improve sales outcomes.

Excellent project and program management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.

Experience with housing and payroll management for sales teams is a strong plus.
