The Telecommunications Project Coordinator will assist in coordinating activities related to the site acquisition, engineering, and construction of new wireless communication sites. This position supports the Project Manager in ensuring that wireless infrastructure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The role involves managing project documentation, communicating with stakeholders, and assisting with the day-to-day coordination of various project activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Assistance: Support the Project Manager in the setup, budgeting, and coordination of wireless communication site builds. Assist in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and organize project documents, including project status updates, tracking reports, and meeting minutes. Ensure all documentation is up to date and properly stored in the company’s database.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in soliciting bids, managing contracts, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project timelines and specifications.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for day-to-day communications with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Ensure timely responses to inquiries and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Schedule Management: Track project progress, deadlines, and milestones, and assist the Project Manager in resolving scheduling conflicts. Organize and attend project meetings to discuss progress and next steps.
  • Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring project expenses and budgets to prevent overruns, including maintaining financial documentation and processing invoices.
  • Project Closeout: Assist in project closeout activities such as preparing site binders, ensuring completion of punch list items, and organizing final project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in the telecommunications or construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for project requirements.
