Business Overview:

The Bank of America Equity Sales team leverages the firm’s top rated research platform to interact with the Institutional Client base: capturing mind share, delivering alpha and enhancing flows across all equity-linked products. The salesforce is the integral part of the platform, connecting Portfolio Managers, Analysts, Traders and everyone in between with the various product groups across BofAML Equities. We work closely with our partners in Trading/Sales Trading, Financing, Capital Markets, Derivatives and Corporate Access to maximize firm-to-firm connectivity and drive revenues. While working with the Equity Sales desk, you can expect to gain an understanding of our core capabilities:

  • Idea generation / content creation around: Single stock ideas, Global Macro, Derivatives and Cross Asset
  • Corporate Access: Connect CEOs, CFOs and other management from corporates around the globe with our client base. Sit in on meetings with Investors as they gain insights directly from the top management
  • Capital Markets: Partner with Corporates to raise capital via Primary and Secondary offerings
  • Daily interaction with research analysts, gaining insights on sector themes and best ideas
  • Direct connectivity with key decision makers at the largest investment institutions in the world

Product/Desk Overview:

  • The Equity Sales desk manages distribution of product across the institutional client base.

Associate Roles and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for outgoing individuals possessing strong interpersonal skills, quantitative and problem solving capability and hard workers. Candidates must possess a high level of communication skills, have a desire to learn about the markets and be a team player.
  • Daily and weekly tasks will be assigned, additionally you will be asked to join client conference calls and morning research meetings. You will be asked to support the sales force in client coverage: such as idea generation, research dissemination and trading color.
  • Other responsibilities include:
    • Construct an investment idea which will be presented to the salesforce at the end of the rotation.
    • Work with the analysts on the desk to identify content/events which will resonate with clients.
    • Synthesize trading flow, research content, macro insights & positioning data to formulate market views.
