This transformation projects leader will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Technology organization and will have responsibility for leading and organizing end-to-end $1.5B transformations across MedTech Supply Chain. They will lead the end-to-end ERP implementation process, ensuring alignment to project timelines and achievements and lead a team of ERP specialists, providing guidance, support, and coaching to optimize their performance and achieve project goals. This individual will influence senior leadership at a strategic level by developing strong business partnerships.

The Transformation Projects Leader will be a part of the MedTech Supply Chain Technology organization and will have responsibility for leading and organizing end-to-end $1.5B transformations across MedTech Supply Chain.

The successful candidate must be able to stand up and lead transformations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA transformation, non-S4 transformations) within MedTech Supply Chain. This includes operating alongside program, operations, and vendor teams to improve our core end-to-end operations, enable new innovative digital capabilities and modern Supply Chain capabilities, and simplify the Supply Chain experience. This leader will assume responsibility for an in-flight SAP S/4HANA transformation program; they must use a deep understanding of Supply Chain processes to lead deployment teams in delivering SAP S/4HANA to a diverse set of global partners. Additional responsibilities will Include but not be limited to:

  • Strategic Transformation Management: Coordinate with VP of Business MedTech TranSCend Business Leaders to establish, organize, and govern prioritized MedTech Supply Chain transformations. Responsible for the successful execution of all transformation initiatives within MedTech Technology portfolio. Lead and refine the strategy, structure, and governance for in-flight Technology transformations. Drive top-down ideation for each Technology transformation reflecting the breadth of each transformation's activities. Work with Strategy Planning and Program Operations to plan the rollout of upcoming MedTech projects. Develop and implement a consistent deployment framework across programs. Structure and lead large initiative teams and transformation management support functions within the larger organization to help successfully deploy the transformation.
  • Roadmap Development: Work with Strategy Planning and Program Operations to oversee the development, execution, and implementation of a roadmap for each transformation project (both for SAP S/4HANA projects and non-S/4 projects) throughout MedTech Supply Chain. Align with MedTech Supply Chain leaders on priorities, assess critical dependencies for the program, and oversee ongoing roadmap enhancements as necessary for the project. Support the proactive resolution and mitigation of raised risks.
  • Resource Management: Engage with business units across the organization and MedTech Supply Chain leaders and Technology Functions within JJT to understand availability of resources. Direct the strategy for allocating resources across each project, accounting for the needs of different business units and using guidelines set by the Strategy Planning and Program Operations area. Deliver against budget requirements, resource prioritization frameworks, and resource availability set forth in the resource allocation strategy. Set a strategy for program resourcing that includes a creative and cost-efficient mix of resources from DBT, business units, and external vendor partners.
  • Vendor Management: Engage with vendor partners and oversee vendor performance as they support ongoing transformations. Handle deployment needs and set high-level rules of engagement for vendors with internal supporting functions. Lead the identification of cost-efficient practices to oversee vendors across multiple transformation projects. Establish relationships with transformation leaders outside of Johnson & Johnson to maintain industry standards in design and execution of projects.
  • Financial Management: Advise the management and allocation of budget across all SAP S/4HANA and non-S/4 projects within DBT, assuring cost effectiveness and control are both deployed correctly. Forecast budget needs for each quarter and fiscal year based on initiative priorities, programmatic needs, and existing resources. Work with Strategy Planning and Program Operations to understand DBT's budget forecast and build out the feasibility of upcoming projects.
  • Technology Fluency: Leverage a deep understanding of supply chain, data, and digital tools to engage with product teams to understand product aspirations, timeline expectations, and customer needs. Continuously assess the set of offerings and explore opportunities to align it to market-leading practice. Drive the program to enable automation and efficiency resulting from technology wherever possible.
  • Value Creation: Review ongoing projects' progress against roadmaps to determine MedTech technology functions readiness to deliver on prioritized initiatives. Work with Value and Vendor Management team to oversee cost-saving initiatives and value creation opportunities using data and analytics. Develop criteria for communicating expected value of initiatives to leadership across all MedTech Business Unites transformation projects.
  • Customer Experience Design: Own the design and operation of projects with a customer-first approach, considering the voice of MedTech Supply Chain customers. Within projects, adapt specific deployments to the needs of different groups within MedTech Supply Chain. Consider the needs of the business's end user customer base and develop products that improve our delivery of their customer experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's le vel degree or equivalent is required, preferably within business, supply chain, technology or engineering; an advanced degree (MBA or MS) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15-years of experience leading technology focused teams.
  • Ability to identify the root cause of complex problems and enable solutioning and resolution independently.
  • Experience leading strategic business decision-making through data and analytics.
  • Foundational understanding of emerging MedTech, supply chain, data, and digital trends in the marketplace is preferred.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and with other partners to influence others and move toward a common vision.
  • Strategic leadership and experience building new/enhancing capabilities and possesses a unique perspective that reimagines current ways of working.
  • Excellent at building strong relationships with peers and customers to influence others and move toward a common vision.
  • Demonstrated hands-on project management/organizational management experience, along with experience working with multiple partners and priorities.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including formal executive presentation skills.
  • Expertise in Financial / ERP systems and supervision of Software as a Service (SAAS) contracts, suppliers, technology and support teams.
  • Must possess independent, critical and forward thinking skills with a product-centric Technology approach.
  • Solid competence around technology lifecycle management, experience design and agile development methodologies, along with strong data, analytics and data science expertise.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel will be required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $188,000 to 345,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
