Position: Associate Director of Education

The role of the Associate Director of Education involves supervising the provision and ensuring the excellence of tutoring and facilitation offerings to students, families, and staff within Arizona, Georgia, Maryland, and any additional partnerships outside of California The Associate Director of Education reports to and works closely with the Senior Director of Education.

Job Responsibilities

As an associate director of education, your duties and responsibilities are to provide leadership and support for both our educators and the teams that oversee the implementation/development of those educators.

Supervise Academic Services Manager Team (40%)

Meet regularly online with the Academic Services Manager Team to discuss current classroom questions, needs, etc.

Communicate needs to manage short-term and long-term projects & oversee project progress with the Academic ServicesManager Team.

Oversee day-to-day processes, tasks, and responsibilities of the Academic Services Manager.

Quality Control and Data (20%)

Evaluate instructors, facilitators, and tutors through classroom observation

Work with the curriculum team to provide constructive feedback in the areas of curriculum implementation, student engagement, and checks for understanding

Oversee tutoring data reports/presentations

Monitor and track the performance of the Academic Services Manager Team in order to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and feedback as needed.

Work closely with company technologies (Salesforce, Oracle, Google Suite, etc.) to streamline processes, respond to daily operational tasks, and funnel pertinent information down appropriate pipelines.

Educator Onboarding, Retention, and Development (10%)

Actively maintains relationships with the current educator pool and all newly acquired educators.

Collaborate with the Recruiting Team to coordinate instructional support for newly acquired educators. Work with the Recruiting Team and Partnerships Team to implement data-informed research and practices to meet the company’s educational needs and onboarding processes.

  • Travel and Site Visits (30%):


Conduct travel for site visits, overseeing tutors, and meeting with school partners.

Observe tutors and facilitators during site visits and ensure effective collaboration with school partners.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in education or a related field

5+ years of teaching/classroom experience in Title I or similar school

3+ years of managerial experience in an education-related field

Experienced in time management, establishing priorities, and complying with deadlines

Ability to work as part of a team

Strong organizational skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Flexible to work in hybrid

Salary Ranging from $60k to $75k DOE
