Position Summary

Oversees an education portfolio of a residency program, 13 fellowship programs, and the Medicine Clerkship programs. This position develops and implements standardized processes/protocols across the educational programs and affiliated divisions, serves as a liaison between faculty and staff on strategic vision, day-to-day operations, and provides leadership and direction to staff, faculty, and students. This role also reviews, creates and nurtures internal & external alliances, collaborations, and partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Directs and leads the development of each program's strategic plan with the faculty and staff. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external collaborators. Oversees documentation of agreements between WCM and partner institutions.
  • Oversees and ensures that day-to-day operations are appropriately managed, efficient, and effective. Recommends and implements changes and improvements to better ensure attainment of mission.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to the team. Supports faculty curriculum and quality. Creates standard operating practices, procedures, and metrics to measure success.
  • Oversees the management logistical requirements, including facilities, venue, scheduling, technology, instruction, catering, etc.
  • Oversees development and implementation of processes and procedures for all regulatory and compliance requirements. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal & state laws.
  • Oversees creation and/or implementation of associated training & faculty development.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy designed to continually grow and improve programs and build internal/external engagement.
  • Provides guidance and support to staff and faculty in the creation of program components.
  • Oversees development and implementation of evaluation processes that ensure that program benchmarks are successfully attained. Manages evaluation processes; recommends and implements changes for enhancement.
  • Creates plan to oversee the growth of awareness of programs in appropriate markets. Partners with academia and organizations to continue to innovate and enhance programs

Education

  • Master's Degree in related field preferred

Experience

  • 5-7 years progressive experience in education administration, operations, and program development
  • 5 – 7 years of prior working experience in research and/or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in higher education
  • Successful track records of leading program expansions and/or successful launching of new programs.
