We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team in our outpatient cardiology setting. Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of talent acquisition activities to fill open positions:
  • Review job description and create job posting
  • Post jobs internally and externally; identify sources for reaching the best candidates
  • Screen incoming resumes/applications for hiring manager
  • Phone screen candidates for hiring manager
  • Coordinate interviews and participate in interviews as needed
  • Follow up with hiring manager and candidates throughout the process; communicate updates as needed
  • Consult with hiring managers and adjust recruitment strategy as needed
  • Complete references and background checks
  • Extend and negotiate employment offers
  • Ensure recruiting practices comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Build relationships with Hiring Managers to understand the needs of the office/department and develop recruiting strategies to meet these needs.
  • Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
  • Generate weekly updates for HR Manager and Senior Management on status of open positions.
  • Communicate regularly with HR Manager and Director of Operations to get a clear understanding of company’s hiring needs and organizational goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other managers to develop creative ways for addressing talent acquisition challenges.
  • Represent company internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities.
  • Proactively seek market and salary information to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies.
  • Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities.
  • Research talent acquisition trends in the staffing industry.
  • Work on HR projects as needed and provide backup for other HR functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or appropriate experience may be substituted for degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years previous work experience in a healthcare environment and/or recruiting
  • In-depth knowledge of candidate screening and selection methods
  • Understanding of full cycle recruitment process
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a plus
  • Outstanding communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment and part of a team
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • This position requires initiative, motivation, creativity, and ability to understand many areas of expertise in the healthcare industry (clinical, administrative, technical, management, etc.).
  • Ability to travel to other Virginia Heart offices and career fairs
