Job Description Summary

The Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Educational Partnerships is responsible for the oversight of Admissions, Early College/Dual Enrollment, Niles Campus and Educational Talent Search program. The incumbent utilizes a developmental lens to understand the needs of students and continually develop transformational practices. In addition, this position shall act as a liaison between the college, high schools and external communities in an effort to effectively promote the college for student recruitment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university
  • 5 years of experience working with college enrollment management processes, such as Admissions, Dual Enrollment programs, Trio/Educational Talent Search programs, or directly related experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external constituents of differing demographics.
  • Experience with database management, statistical data interpretation and application of current information technology as applied to recruitment programs.
  • Possesses an understanding of budget management.
  • Proficient in supervising and managing performance of a professional team.
  • A strong commitment to student success and continuing the atmosphere of institutional collaboration is vital to success in this position.
  • Ability to build, develop and foster relationships with both internal and external customers.

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff, one to one or in groups; demonstrated self-starter and the ability to work independently.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Executive Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership in a continuous cycle of evaluation and improvement of services provided to students. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to Admissions, Early College/Dual Enrollment, Educational Talent Search, and the Niles Campus.
  • Work with the VP for the Student Experience to plan, implement and evaluate recruitment efforts using data driven methods to meet or exceed annual and strategic admission goals, for recent high school graduates, dual enrollment, and adult students.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with surrounding school districts.
  • Effectively hire, train, motivate and directly supervise the team of Admissions advisors.
  • Completes duties, schedules and deadlines in a timely fashion by planning and organizing work.
  • Effective public speaking and presentations in front of small and large diverse groups.
  • Assure the delivery of high quality and comprehensive academic support through the TRIO Grant program (Educational Talent Search).
  • Represent and promote the College in a professional manner at community events.
  • Plan and direct student attraction events, such as an open house, on both campuses, ensuring favorable impression of and maximizing student yield for the College.
  • Establish, enforce, and review operational policies and procedures, propose changes based on analysis of operations, demographics, and other reliable data.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department to produce and distribute targeted communication for all current and new academic programs.
  • Manage the Admissions budget for maximum effectiveness in increasing enrollment, make recommendations and requests as appropriate to take advantage of market opportunities.
  • Work with the VP for the Student Experience to understand and navigate the local market, including regulatory requirements and the political environment.
  • Participate in professional development and maintain appropriate memberships to ensure the use of contemporary recruiting practices
  • Serve as key contributor in achieving the College goals of attracting, retaining, developing and graduating students; Maintain knowledge and awareness of local market to identify and capitalize upon new or untapped student referral sources.
  • Oversee Early College initiatives such as dual enrollment, direct credit and Early Middle College.
  • Oversee operations of the Niles Campus.
  • Cultivate and maintain beneficial relationships with influencers in the surrounding school systems, intermediate school districts and community at large.
  • This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
