Product Designer Sportswear, BCBG I Position Description

Profile:

The Product Designer, BCBG Sportswear is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects brand’s esthetics and design integrity. This role requires a keen eye for fashion trends, strong technical skills, and the ability to translate ideas into high-quality, commercially viable designs. As a member of the Design team, you will take an active role in the development of tech packs, vendor communications, and library updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development of technical packages. Prepare technical specifications, including measurements, construction details, and trim requirements for proto development.
  • Communicate with oversees factory on development and review of prototypes and samples, providing feedback and revisions to ensure design integrity and quality. Also, tracking samples to ensure they arrive on time.
  • Executes any style revisions aftermarket review with Sales & Design.
  • Updates style tech packs with finalized details & dimensions.
  • Assist with lock-in charts, trim and fabric charts/P.O.

Qualifications:

  • BFA in Apparel design.
  • 3+ year experience in Women’s Design, technical design/patternmaking, required.
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Expert technical skill proficiency using MS Office: Excel, Word, Photoshop and Illustrator required.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Must be organized.

The pay range for this position is: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
