  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Our client is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a passion for startups and the drive to lead from the front. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is ready to tackle the heavy lifting required in an early-stage environment, from coding and architecture to business presentations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in data engineering and AI, particularly in video intelligence, crowd behavior, and sentiment analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development: Architect, design, and build our core product line from the ground up, ensuring it is scalable, functional, and user-friendly.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, while being an active contributor to the codebase in the early stages of development.
  • Technical Strategy: Define and implement the technology strategy that aligns with the client's business goals, ensuring seamless integration of AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and big data technologies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, product managers, and key stakeholders to ensure technology development supports business objectives. Be prepared to give technical presentations to investors and partners.
  • AI Infrastructure Expertise: Design and implement AI-driven video analytics and sentiment tracking solutions. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, and modern data processing technologies is essential.
  • Ownership Mindset: Take full ownership of the product roadmap and collaborate with the executive team to drive the concept from development to market success.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in cloud computing, AI/ML, and big data technologies. Knowledge of modern trends like IoT, Generative AI, Digital Twins, and Data Science is highly preferred.
  • Startup Experience: Appetite for working in a startup environment, ready to lead by example, and willingness to contribute as an Individual Contributor (IC) in the early stages.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: A passion for innovation with the ability to inspire teams and execute ambitious growth strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Experience in retail analytics, video analytics, sentiment and behavior tracking, or computer vision technologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to attract, motivate, and retain top engineering talent.

Preferred Experience:

  • AI/ML experience in video intelligence, crowd behavior analytics, or sentiment tracking.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling AI/ML-driven products.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations to stakeholders, investors, or business clients.
  • The product line integrates data from physical spaces, and this role will involve architecting product segments that interact with physical environments.
  • Experience working with white-labeled hardware components is highly desirable and will be considered an asset.
