Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
Responsibilities:
Receive and process incoming shipments and deliveries
Prepare and package parcel items for shipment, ensuring that all items are properly labeled and packaged
Coordinate with LTL and parcel carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
Create BOLs and invoice all outgoing shipments and send paperwork to appropriate parties (this is specific to Georgetown)
Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts
Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding shipment discrepancies or damages
Assist Shipping Manager in obtaining quotes for shipments and booking loads
Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of international shipping documents is a plus
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.
Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
