Ferretti Search is working with a reputable organization to find a meticulous and proactive Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Location: Concord, NC - 100% On-Site

Compensation: $34/hr- $40/hr

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm- Contract to hire (3-6 months contract to hire)

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing: Manage and process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll policies.

Tax Management: Administer payroll taxes, garnishments, unemployment claims, and collaborate with federal and state agencies for tax-related processing.

System Expertise: Become a subject matter expert in the company’s payroll system, ensuring seamless execution of payroll functions.

Audits: Conduct monthly payroll audits to verify data accuracy and maintain integrity across all payroll systems.

Employee Support: Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve issues promptly.

Time Collection: Work closely with managers to ensure time collection is accurate and recorded through the approved systems.

Benefits Coordination: Collaborate with third-party benefit administrators to set up and manage benefit deductions in the payroll system.

Reporting: Prepare standard and complex payroll reports for internal use and audits as needed.

System Support: Provide training and technical support to managers using payroll systems and ensure smooth operations across all levels.

Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.

Special Projects: Assist with special projects and assignments as required.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-state payroll administration.

• Strong knowledge of payroll best practices and federal/state regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills.

• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to make quick decisions.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with HRIS platforms such as Vista Viewpoint, Paycor, ADP, or similar systems.

• General accounting and accounts receivable experience is preferred.
