We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Product Designer to join our Streaming Product Operations Team based in our New York, New York Headquarters.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Product Designer who can solve complex design and communication challenges for our entire suite of digital products. We’re looking for someone who can not only design a beautiful, elegant experience, but one that functions seamlessly for the customer. Executing this successfully will not only make our customers happy, but also our internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into visually elegant and user-friendly UX/UI designs
• Support Senior Product Designers with UI or UX requirements
• Follow and extend a Design Language System in the context of new experiences
• Define interaction and animation details
• Present design ideas and concepts to Design, Product and Engineering Teams, interpret feedback and define next step solutions
• Foster a culture of experimentation by supporting qualitative and quantitative user tests
• Create specs and other communication details to translate design decisions to Engineering teams
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience
• A portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design solutions with strong visual and interaction design skills
• Experience in designing apps for TV, video streaming and/or interactive gaming a plus
• The ability to construct polished, beautiful UI/prototypes via Figma
• Motivated by feedback, and by the opportunity to improve in your role, in the work, and in how you work together as a team
  
  
  

The base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience.
