As the Global Head of Business Operations and Strategy Support, you will support the Global Q&R Organization in both operational support and a direct leadership role. Specifically, you will support the Head of Global Quality and Regulatory, while reporting directly to the Head of Transformation and Program Office. You will support daily and ongoing operations and executive planning to ensure that the strategy architecture, strategic plan and strategic direction established by the Q&R LT and the Head of the Q&R Transformation and Program Office is deeply embedded within the organization together with the Global Q&R Leadership team. The role has exposure to a broad range of topics, functions and senior management. This is a highly visible position that requires executive presence, exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, analytic detail and rigor, and ability to operate at most senior levels of the company.

The Opportunity

  • You ensure that the strategic direction is deeply embedded within the organization which facilitates us in creating value through leveraging operational excellence.
  • You provide leadership and guidance to a diverse team of administrative seniors / experts (team management partner staff) located at all major Dia sites. You incorporate overall strategy, manage performance and development of direct reports to ensure achievement of organizational, and departmental goals and a productive environment
  • You act as an operational advisor to the Head of Q&R and the senior leadership team as a “chief of staff”. You negotiate with Senior leaders to drive the operational and executive planning for Q&R, the Q&R Extended Leadership Team (ExLT) and the Q&R leadership team sessions (QRLT)
  • You ensure clear responsibilities for defined actions of the Global Q&R strategic plan and track implementation and maturation through effective collaboration with the Global Q&R Transformation & Program Office, jointly leveraging the Q&R Maturity Model, the Q&R Strategic Roadmap and routine Q&R Objectives and Key Result (OKRs) management. This includes driving the Global Q&R leadership meetings and planning the agenda to support the team in timely, well-informed decision making
  • You collaborate with Head of Global Q&R, the Q&R Communications Business Partner, and other Q&R LT members and subject matter experts to develop and deliver strategic communications and presentation materials
  • You assist in oversight and management of External Business Partners (EBPs) engaged by the Q&R Leadership Team as extended resources, strategic partners and consultants

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor’s/Master's Degree
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in the life science sector that may be directly comparable to Diagnostics and/or Pharmaceuticals
  • You have experience driving strategy, change leadership and have a business agility consulting background (highly desirable)
  • You have strong leadership experience, preferably with experience leading diverse team and/or highly complex matrix leadership of enterprise-level projects
  • You have strong business sense with a solid understanding of the healthcare industry and experience operating in a regulated environment

  • You have proven ability to translate Divisional Strategy into BA priorities and initiatives. This includes experience in stakeholder management and ability to effectively collaborate across global organizations
  • You hold the ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity
  • You have the ability to connect the dots between functions and processes in terms of broader business implications, including tactical, strategic, and enterprise dependencies
  • You have the ability to cultivate a strong and trusting relationship with executive leaders
  • You hold excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitation skills, and presentation development skills as well as influencing skills and ability to deal with challenging and ambiguous situations
  • You have the ability to influence top management, to get alignment from senior leadership across the company. This includes the ability to work effectively across cultures

Locations:

You can be based in Any Diagnostics Site. Relocation assistance is not available.

At the Company's discretion, an exception to the location requirement could be made under extraordinary circumstances.

As this position is part of a global organization, international business travel will be required depending upon the business location of the successful candidate and ongoing business project activities.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $108,500 and $235,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
