IT Intern - TechTrek Program

Ameritas is seeking applicants to be part of the Ameritas’ TechTrek program. This program provides exposure to Ameritas’ technology ecosystem by having selected participants participate in a 12-month program that includes leveraging the software development life cycle to include analysis, development, testing, security and data engineering activities. Post completion, this program also provides the opportunity to join Ameritas as a full-time associate.

This internship would begin May 2025. This is a hybrid role working partially in-office and partially from home.

What You Do

• Design and develop solutions utilizing custom or packaged software, including automation and development tools.
• Include application development, data engineering, security engineering principles into your work utilizing requirements analysis, testing outcomes and architecture thinking.
• Gathering requirements through interviews and/or research
• Document findings and present results to stakeholders to provide insight into project related designs.
• Support in the creation of project related artifacts and visualizations for use internally or with stakeholders.
• Gain experience with a cross section of IT and security resources to enhance your career development exposure.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Technical Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or another related field.
• Able to fulfill a year-round commitment - part-time during the academic school year and full-time during the summer
• PT includes 10-20 hours a week
• FT includes 30-40 hours a week
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively
• Positive, self-motivated individual with high level of enthusiasm and willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities and assignments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Possesses a self-starting approach to assignment and responsibilities.
• Executes with the highest degree of integrity and accountability.
