Position: Enterprise System Architect (SA) (Remote)
Position Summary:
BuddoBot is seeking an SA to provide support to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Enterprise Architecture (EA) and
Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) division.
HUD s EA and IV&V Support services have a requirement to create integrated, unified, and
comprehensive enterprise architecture program and associated management processes (e.g., office,
etc.) in maturing the EA Support Services, HUD s approach of Architect, Invest, and Implement will be
used to ensure mission performance within the HUD business areas including the effective and efficient
alignment of HUD s information technology (IT) resources with its strategic business objectives.
The EA Support Services support will integrate elements of strategy, planning, and engineering to
provide HUD OCIO with a holistic view of the HUD IT portfolio through various lenses (e.g., acquisition,
project management, technology, and cybersecurity).
The SA s role is to assist the Solution and Enterprise Architects as they seek to understand and
document the HUD enterprise applications and systems, develop modernization strategies, and
successfully implement those short- and long-term strategic objectives while providing guidance and
technical leadership for the Client, as required. The SA will ensure that all system development,
modernization, and enhancement efforts align with the Client s strategic business and technology
objectives.
Clearance Eligibility: Ability to obtain Public Trust Level 5.
Salary: The salary offered will depend on education, certifications, length and relevance of work
history, and professional experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to other IT subject matter experts,
including cybersecurity, telecom, business, and financial analysts, as required.
Ensure that all strategic IT-related artifacts are fully documented including mapping
business/process flows, use cases, and workflow diagrams.
Make recommendations for future modernization efforts as the Client migrates to Cloud
environments.
Leading and facilitating Client engagements, generating agendas and minutes, to include action
items.
Generating project schedules, producing clear, concise graphics and data/process flows
(Visio/Sparx, etc.), and able to produce Final version, Client-ready documentation.
Work under the immediate supervision and guidance of the Senior Project Manager and Program
Manager.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures associated
with information technology environments (on-premises/Cloud).

Education and Certification Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in business architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Network
Architecture, Security Architecture, or similar discipline with two (2) years of relevant experience or
master s degree (same disciplines) with one (1) year of relevant experience.
Background and Experience:
2+ years experience.
In lieu of the two (2) years of experience, the Enterprise Architect I may have a master s degree from an
accredited academic institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in one or more of the
following disciplines in Business Architecture, Data Architecture, Application Architecture, Network
Architecture, Security Architecture, or a similar discipline, with a minimum of one (1) year of experience
working under a similar project.
Experience with Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) framework, General Accounting Office
(GAO) EA Maturity Model, NIST IT-related standards, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) EA
compliance requirements, and Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM).
Required Technical Skills:
Experience with Virtual Machines (VMs) and cloud computing.
EA Repository experience with an industry-leading EA tool.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office environment. Work is generally sedentary but may require movement about the
office for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and
temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by
noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office
equipment available.
Contractor site with 0-10% travel possible
Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages
Occasional movement of small articles up to 10lbs
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
Continually operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
