The Adobe Business Platform Commerce Engineering organization is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager. Commerce Engineering Manager plays a meaningful role in the success of commerce services team and accountable for leading the activity of development and quality to build appropriate technological solutions to meet the business expectation on Commerce Catalog applications. Collaborate with business units and Product Owners in crafting scalable and high performant services to improve sales and customer satisfactions. You must possess an outstanding blend of business and technical savvy, ability to look in to big-picture vision, and the aim to make that vision a reality.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of all direct people management activities for all team members, such as agreeing on objectives, measuring performance, providing valuable and constructive feedback, allocating project work, involving team members in key initiatives, encouraging a culture of development and learning, and enhancing and improving team morale.
  • Supervise performance and collaborate with management and key partners to identify, plan and implement actions to optimize employee productivity and utilization.
  • You will build and drive a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Commerce Catalog Management Services and tooling development team to ensure the technical quality, product quality, and efficient use of resources.
  • Build a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering value
  • Scoping, Planning, and technical architecture for all projects for commerce.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, Operations, and other delivery teams to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needs
  • Help the organization scale and grow with the business
  • Grow and lead the skills and talent in the organization. Lead People Resource processes related to objectives definitions, regular check-in, assessment, and compensation
Required Skills & Expertise:
  • Be a leader who takes action. Passion for building efficient, high-performance services.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of people leadership, and management experience in software product development and hosted/SaaS services.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive software development experience doing server-side (RESTful services) development.
  • Good knowledge and experience with Java and Spring Frameworks, databases and SQL.
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design/programming.
  • Experience with frond-side (UI) technologies like Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks such as ReactJS.
  • Experience with AWS, New Relic, Splunk is a huge plus.
  • Knowledge of coding in other major programming languages is a plus.
  • Expertise in building large-scale, complex client/server solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with agile software development techniques.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $146,300 -- $281,100 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
