  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Vice President of Operations - East Coast

Are you an experienced leader in the civil construction industry, ready to take on a pivotal role in a rapidly growing market? We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Operations to spearhead operations and drive growth in their New York office for a highly respected and top-ranking ENR Top 50 General Contractor.

Location: New York

As a Vice-President of Operations you will:

  • Oversee and support 2 to 4 Project Managers and their teams across multiple sites.
  • Actively assist Project Managers in managing construction activities, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor job cost analysis, ensuring project profitability and addressing areas needing improvement.
  • Provide support for East Coast bids, including estimating, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Facilitate clear communication with Project Managers, offering assistance with subcontractors, vendors, and joint venture partners when needed.
  • Lead Project Managers in coordinating efforts among all project stakeholders, including owners, architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Uphold and enforce strict quality and safety standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role within the civil construction industry.
  • Extensive experience with large-scale drilled-shaft installation and construction.
  • Strong understanding of the East Coast market and the local construction landscape.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions that drive business growth and operational excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field.
