We're looking for Sports Partnership Directors to join Opportune Sports! The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the sports & mobile technology landscape, be proactive and eager to learn, and have an innate ability to interact with key partners and generate new business opportunities targeting MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS teams and leagues.

This is a performance base (commission only with bonuses and potential equity opportunity) position that is remote with the potential to earn six-figure income working from your home office. We will provide email, CRM, marketing material and training.

Opportune Sports is a digital sports marketing startup that is disrupting today’s traditional sports marketing landscape by being the first location-based marketing agency dedicated solely to sports. Our Direct to Fan platform combines GPS technology and real-time fan location data to help sports properties boost awareness and revenue for today’s mobile generation of Gen Z and Millennials sports fans. Now teams and leagues get a unique view of the physical behavior of a fan. Where they are, where they’ve been, and predict where they may go next.

What you’ll Do

· Onboard new clients and set the tone for future success with assigned teams/league partnerships.

· Build and manage relationships with key senior level contacts within the corporate partnership, ticket services, fan engagement and community relations departments of teams and leagues.

· Build rapport and strong relationships with relevant partner points of contact (including regular calls, video calls & eventually in-person meetings)

· Build sales pipeline in order to meet quarterly revenue targets

· Evangelize Opportune Sports offerings online and offline.

· Keep up with broad vertical trends related to sports, teams, leagues, sports content and mobile technology. Translate these into strategic ideas, plans, and opportunities to drive growth of the business.

Who you are

· 3+ years of experience in sports, sponsorship, advertising sales, media sales or digital sales preferred

· Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or other related area of study.

· Passion for sports, technology, digital media required

· Proven ability to drive the sale process from plan to close

· Desire to succeed and hunger to come up with new business opportunities

· Superior problem solving and eagerness to learn

· Must possess entrepreneurial attitude, and doesn't shy away from things you don't know

· Willing to think differently and find disruptive solutions to emerging challenges

· Previous experience working in startups preferred but not essential

· Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organization
