Position Summary

A Peer Education Multimedia Director is an attentive listener and clear communicator who understands narrative informational storytelling from pre-through post-production. They must be comfortable coaching genuine performance from non-professional talent while guiding a seasoned crew in a studio environment. They have experience in chroma key video production, remote learning, and cloud-based collaboration platforms. A Multimedia Director is the principal contact for production partners, takes responsibility for media acquisition and delivery, and acts as the quality control linchpin for the programs they lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates hands-on project leadership, ensuring content and business goals are met with organized processes and a commitment to excellence in media production
  • Consults with internal teams (Business Unit, Medical Director, Faculty Recruiter, Line Producers, Post-Production) to understand content goals and individual program needs
  • Displays people and problem-solving skills, communicating effectively with patience or urgency as needs dictate
  • Exudes confidence and tact addressing industry-experts on their presentation delivery prowess
  • Troubleshoots and leads discussions with key stakeholders from early planning through studio execution
  • Travels to shoot locations in the US, Canada and Europe
  • Collaborates on detailed pre-production with the Line Producers to support their preparation for each shoot
  • Ensures seamless transfer of assets to post-production with small file proxies and raw media delivery

Qualifications

  • A teachable team-oriented facilitator who wants to go places and grow in a unique, diverse global environment
  • Experience with 4K and 1080p formats, pre-production/planning, hiring crew, studio production, and webcasting technologies
  • Functional knowledge of Adobe and other software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Pro Tools, RX, OBS, and Wirecast)
  • Ability to meet demands and overcome challenges in the preparation, execution, and delivery of branded, customized and/or proprietary media solutions
  • Poised professional ease in dealing with senior and junior team members
  • Agile flexibility to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines; and thrive under pressure
