What you'll be doing...

Do you want to shape how data will change the world? Are you ready to collaborate with inquisitive, thoughtful, and creative people to get great products into the hands of customers? As a Sr. UX Designer, you'll use your knowledge, technical prowess, and design skills to continue to extend a platform that empowers people to see and understand data: analyzing data, answering questions, forecasting the future, crafting visualizations, and sharing insights. And, as a partner to engineering, product management, user research, and content experience, you'll work together to set the vision for analytics and build healthy, effective, impactful cross-discipline teams. We can't wait to find the next phenomenal design leader to join us!

Who we are...

At Tableau, we delight in building software that transforms messy, complicated data into a simple, curated thing of beauty. The analytics design team leads efforts to make fast, easy, and beautiful analytical experiences possible for every Tableau user. We continuously evolve how analytics are built, designed, and used across organizations. We anticipate changes in work, technology, and society in order to innovate and build new experiences that make data meaningful and lead to action for new groups of people.
Some job responsibilities include...
  • Turning complex and technical concepts into experiences that feel simple and straightforward.
  • Crafting scenarios, user flows, wireframes, and working prototypes that clearly communicate design intent to everyone, designers and non-designers alike.
  • Working directly with engineers and PMs on projects from beginning to end, working together to create beautiful and intuitive product experiences.
  • Collaborating closely with your peers in the design as well as the broader experience organization, including user research and content experience teams. Contribute to shared initiatives and operational improvements that drive positive impact for the team at large.
  • Fostering a healthy design practice by giving and receiving feedback with maturity and perspective.
