In this position, you will be the firm’s liaison working hard to increase overall productivity, handling administrative tasks, and fulfilling any demands that support the firm’s goals and mission. We are looking for a responsible Legal Assistant to help assist the attorney administratively.

Responsibilities

  • provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness.
  • Handle communication with clients on different levels.

  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
  • Proven working experience as legal assistant or legal secretary.
  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system
  • Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficiency in English
  • Working knowledge of case management software
  • Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
  • Legal Assistant certification or diploma
  • Receive and organize all correspondence onto our Excell spreadsheet.
  • communicating with clients for all correspondence.
  • Screening, drafting, issuing, and/or directing correspondence.
  • Act as a point of contact between the owner, leadership team, staff, and clients.
  • Setting up and maintaining an organizational system.
  • Resolve issues and communicate effectively.
  • Acts as a point of contact between clients and other departments; responsible for giving regular and current case updates to client and other departments.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrates proficiency with technology, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Dropbox, and social media.
  • High level of skill in written English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation with an eye for formatting documents.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, orderly and detail-oriented with ability to prioritize work with accuracy and efficiency while staying focused and calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently, take responsibility, take initiative, problem-solve using sound judgment, and handle confidential and sensitive information.
