About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team and work on government projects. The ideal candidate will have experience developing robust, scalable applications in a secure and highly regulated environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing efficient algorithms, and implementing solutions that adhere to federal compliance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications for federal projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and other team members to gather requirements and deliver quality solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Design and optimize algorithms to solve complex problems.
  • Ensure application security and compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
  • Integrate Python applications with third-party systems and APIs.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work with DevOps teams to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 - 12 years of experience in Python development.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and Python libraries.
  • Experience working on federal government projects or with agencies. Desirable, but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST frameworks). Desirable, but not mandatory
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in public sector projects or government contracting.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack development.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
  • Security certifications like CISSP, Security+, or similar.
